Since 2010, A Design Film Festival (DFF) has been bringing films on design and its subcultures to diverse audiences in Singapore and around the world. Kusama: Infinity kickstarted the festival’s 8th edition, featuring the life and art of Yayoi Kusama, shining a spotlight on the human side of design. The film was part of a preview event for A Design Film Festival 2019.
The poster and tickets are designed with die cut holes so anyone could see whatever is behind the tickets and flyers, or inside the tote bag, similar to how the documentary film gives us a look into the life and career of Yayoi Kusama, and the story that lies behind her art.
The design of the festival microsite follows similarly to the collaterals, with polka dots appearing or popping in while scrolling down the site.
Festival Gift Shop
Merchandise are curated or produced based on the festival theme each year. For this edition of DFF, an area was dedicated to the festival merchandise, retailing mainly the tote bags. Planning and execution of the gift shop includes the production of the displays as well as wayfinding signages.
